ICT in Education

Education establishments are under increasing pressure to embed Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in to all aspects of their school. However, frequently schools neither have the time nor in-depth knowledge to understand what is possible and manage the rapid technology change.

Launch Concepts can assist by performing a strategic review of ICT provision in your school to fully understand your school's present situation, create an ICT vision tailored to your school and subsequently build a development plan to achieve your vision.

Churchend Primary school has an intake of 266 pupils and was given an outstanding grade in their 2005 Ofsted inspection. Ofsted reported that the teaching of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was of very good quality. Emmer Green Primary school recognised the need to improve their ICT provision and engaged with Launch Concepts to perform a strategic review. Launch Concepts made recommendations to extend opportunities for learning, improve the availability of ICT and introduce new ways to involve parents. Subsequently Launch Concepts assisted the ICT-Coordinator at Emmer Green through the process of upgrading their server and wireless network, purchasing laptops to be used in the classroom and in the implementation of Parent Email.
